Meet the Farm
Where the seed becomes life.
El Berima β "The Seed" β is a living, breathing farm in the heart of Tunisia. A place where food grows slowly, animals are treated with care, and every visitor leaves with a deeper connection to the land.
El Berima β "The Seed"
El Berima was born from a simple belief: that people who understand where their food comes from live better, eat better, and treat the land better. The name itself β "El Berima," meaning "The Seed" in Tunisian dialect β reflects everything we are about. Every great thing begins small.
What started as a family farm has grown into a destination β a pedagogical farm where urban families reconnect with nature, where students learn about sustainable agriculture, and where guests from across Tunisia and beyond come to slow down and experience the rhythms of real farm life.
We are located in the Tunisian countryside, surrounded by ancient olive trees, seasonal vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, and working fields. The farm has been cultivated by the same family for generations, and every inch of it carries memory.
What You'll Find Here
The farm spreads across several hectares of productive land. Our kitchen gardens produce seasonal vegetables year-round: tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and zucchini in summer; root vegetables, citrus, and greens through winter. The garden is always in motion.
Ancient olive groves form the backbone of the farm β some trees more than a hundred years old, still producing exceptional fruit each autumn. The orchard holds figs, pomegranates, apricots, and almond trees whose rhythms mark the calendar better than any clock.
Beyond the crops, there is a working area for our animals β goats, chickens, rabbits β and the hives that produce our raw honey. There is a wood-fired oven where our bread is baked every morning. There is a courtyard shaded by jasmine where we serve meals and coffee. And there is always something happening.
